a: cookie disaster

[ Upon leaving the research center after being briefed via PowerPoint presentation, you'll find a robot that looks like a salt and pepper shaker tailing you, and offering you a fortune cookie! What a cute little robot. It's just so bad that it the cookie gives you strange fortunes like "Someone has Googled you recently". Creepy, huh?

But whether or not you read your fortune out loud, the robot seems to be very, very intent on helping. It follow you around and offer strange, and possibly dangerous advice. Your fortune said "You're allergic to the last thing you ate"? Well, the robot will offer to cut open your stomach to remove the food out! It cares. And this robot will chase you down, threaten you, shoot you with its laser eyes, or all of the above! Apart from that, it's definitely very noisy. Sorry, it's not sorry about how loud it is as it announces to you and to every passerby that "You will spend the next five hours sitting on the toilet"!

(Feel free to think of the most mundane or crazy fortunes and helpful "solutions!") ]

b: error in transporation

[ The metro-rail is basically what everyone who doesn't want to walk uses to get around the colony. It's usually a convenient means of transporation, but with the population growing, the rides start to get crowded! Lucky for you, today isn't one of those days. There aren't a lot of people riding the trains today, and there are probably just three or so people in each cart. You can sit down, and you don't have to smell the person who's invading your personal space because of how crowded it is!

Hold on tight, though, as the train comes to an abrupt stop! The conductor gets every passenger's attention through the intercom right away, and explains that there's some trouble in the next stop that services will be interrupted until further notice. Basically? You're stuck on the train until whatever problem there is is solved. Hope you have nothing important going on!

Well, of course you don't! You just arrived, after all. ]

c: obligatory horror option

[ After being briefed, of course you'd want to find a place to settle down in. Thankfully, the CEO and CERES is generous enough to provide you all with housing, and free rent for two months! Just how swell is that? But upon claiming an apartment of your own, you'll slowly notice that things aren't… how they should be. You blink, and you find the figure of someone who you never ever want to see before you. It's a faceless being, but their other physical characteristics sure are there. You blink again, and they're gone.

You don't feel safe. You start getting paranoid. What if something else happens? Maybe you should find another place to sleep in tonight. Knock on your neighbour's door, or wait outside your building to see if anyone will pick you up.

Or you could always be brave and spend the night at your own apartment. You'll find the lights flickering on and off even though you've switched them off already; the doors opening and closing on their own; the furniture suddenly not being in its place as if someone was dragging them around the house. It's definitely causing a lot of disruption so late at night, and it's not just you who can hear it. Your neighbours can hear the strange noises coming from your apartment, too. ]

[ You thought you were done with ViViD for the day, but for some messed up reason, you clicked on something you weren't supposed to, and you're back in the game.

[Except she probably walked in behind someone who is totally more popular than he is. Looks like Cerealian Tom Hiddleston or Benedict Cumberbatch or someone.

[Somehow a party ended up finding their way to the exact same spot he's been occupied with for the last three minutes. It doesn't really make sense, and he hasn't been here long enough to have any idea what's going on... for all it's worth he has no idea if the robot from before was really making a prediction or not.

At least until a girl tries to make her way past him.]

[He's at least asking politely, a smile that could melt butter gracing his lips while on the inside he's dreading the answer. He's supposed to be #1, after all.]

[While trying to dodge these super good looking dudes who will make Oikawa feel inferior, Vietnam found herself being questioned by him. She looks up and waits for him to finish. A newcomer?

What a pleasant expression though. He's taking this well.]

Hello. And only barely. At least just out of experience...

[She pauses only because something is trying to attempt to disrupt them from time to time. It's that fortune robot?!]

["Well" is an overstatement, though she doesn't need to know otherwise. There's a moment where his gaze drifts to the "celebrities" in front of them, his smile growing slightly strained.]

Experience?

[Ah ... the fortune robot can go away, though really in the background it's yelling out "YOU DON'T WANT HIM. YOU DON'T WANT HIM." It's so cruel.]

[Don't look at them, stranger, they'll just make you angry!!

She nods.] When you stay here for a while, there are some things which cannot be avoided. It gives you just a small idea of what this place is like.

But that is so general, where would you like me to start?

[Her eye twitches though, at how the robot keeps disrupting them. HOW RUDE. She's trying to ignore it but she then hisses at it, going (very quietly)--"Don't be jealous!"]

Something like this happens often?

[Whatever "this" is... He's still not sure who these people are supposed to be, only that they're irritating and need to get out of the way.

It's the robot that's really pushing at buttons, and he's glad to see he's not the only one getting ticked off at its ministrations. The fact that she's hissing something at it too is a good start.]

Maybe somewhere quieter would be best?

[How can you refuse a perfect face like this?]

[She nods, with a slightly sour expression--] Unfortunately so. Though not recently, thankfully. [Aside from the trip to the amusement park. That was chaos.

And while she's going to agree with him, it's not because of his perfect face!! He should thank his robot friend for being a pain in the backside.]

I...I think you're right. Perhaps another district? There are areas where you can sit down and rest, or eat, buy something you need...? [She would say residential area, but he might not trust her to know his new address yet.

Now let's hope this robot doesn't follow him.]

[Why is he being dumped into the same kind of trash as the robot? At least give him his own trash section, thank you. Either way, he's not really certain of how the districts here work yet.]

[Would he like his trash to be decorated too, she'll even send him food! Robot-chan gets no food. See how well she'll treat him!

Certainly. The tea house in the flower shop I work at. [She beams just for two seconds before it's clear she's self promoting. It is really nice though, she has a hand in it.] But if you rather something less light and more filling, then...what is your favourite food? I will pick a nice place accordingly.

[Ah... that isn't what he wants??????

Either way... he pauses at her questions, offering a smile in return.] A tea house is fine. [Mostly because it'll help him if he knows where he can contact someone easily. Maybe that's a little creepy, but in the end it works out for the right reasons.] Though I suppose I'm not surprised you'd work in a place like that, it suits you.

[Does he want to be free of the trash then...

If tea house is fine, then that makes things easier. She'll even treat him (for real this time, not trash style). Herbal teas should make him feel better, right?] Alright then, I will take you there. It's got a nice comfortable lounge, so you can rest too.

[She blinks in confusion though, missing the compliment and whatever else it could imply.] Really? How so? It's actually the first time I've worked in a florist and tea shop.

[No one wants to stay chained down to what they're born into ...

Either way he'll follow her without question, taking a moment to explain himself.] You're quite elegant, aren't you? From what I've seen it's women like that who work in tea houses. They need to be able to blend delicate flavours after all.

[It's all said with a charming smile, eyes creasing with it. Gross.]

[Ah, he wants to leave the nest...

She checks to see if he follows (hi tree) before she blinks and then looks away, blushing slightly. He's grossly charming about it, but he said the two keywords: elegant and delicate. Her dreams...]

Either way, it's almost amusing at how easily she flushes (even if it's only slight) at his words. It's pretty easy to make someone feel special, at least if you have a knack for hitting the mark full on.]

Anyway, it's not something he's had to face in full yet, which is why he smiles widely at her after she finishes speaking. There's a lump in his throat and a rock against his stomach, but he keeps up pretenses, as though all is well.]

It'll sink in soon, but she hopes she'll be able to be there for him during the brunt of it. Besides, his attempts to keep up appearances is suspected, not that she says anything.

[Sadly he likely won't allow that, he'll try and deal with it on his own. That's precisely why this stupid conversation is taking place to begin with.]

[Wow, don't take it on all on your own, Oikawa! But it's true, she's just playing along because he's using it to cope, and it's too early to throw the awful details into his face. He already had to endure the powerpoint anyway.]

Us as aliens? [Look at this chin scratch.] Oh, yes, you are right. We are aliens to this planet! In that case, the coloured ones are more than likely to be natives.

[What a joyous powerpoint that had been.] Hmm. [He's not entirely certain of that either, given what the message had been, but there's one thing he is curious about.]

[It sure makes her miss the old word arts they put in powerpoints. They were much more cheerful. As for this important question.]

Hmm, I came from Earth. Vietnam, to be exact, but I travel around as well. It was January 2015. Yourself?
